Lead Feed Report · Issue #1 · week of October 17, 2026
The Lead Feed Report: baseline issue
This is the first issue, so it sets the baseline: 55 independent tools in 10 categories, each price read from the vendor's own page on October 17, 2026. From next week, each issue lists only what changed: new tools, price moves and shutdowns, each confirmed by hand.
1. Two feeds are gone
- BuildoutFeed: NYC restaurant pre-opening briefing for vendors ($497/mo per our Oct 2026 research). The site now says the product is discontinued.
- PermitMap: Permit map ($390/yr per our Oct 2026 research). The domain now returns a Cloudflare error page.
Lesson: prefer month-to-month plans and export your data regularly. Most tools in this index bill month to month, which limits what you lose if one stops.
2. Cheapest entry price in each category
| Category | Tools | Lowest paid entry | Free option |
|---|---|---|---|
| New trucking authority (FMCSA) leads | 8 | New Trucking Companies ($39/mo) | - |
| Building permit and construction leads | 11 | PermitPub ($29/mo) | - |
| Hail and storm alerts for roofers | 8 | HailHistory ($29/mo) | SwathIQ |
| Real estate public-record leads | 6 | REDX ($60/mo) | - |
| Restaurant opening and inspection leads | 5 | OpeningIQ ($19/mo) | - |
| NIH grant leads for lab vendors | 4 | GotGrant Pro ($14.99/mo) | - |
| Clinical trial BD and site leads | 4 | Trial Inference ($9.95/mo) | - |
| New business license and registration leads | 4 | New License Leads ($29/mo) | - |
| Alcohol label (TTB COLA) approval data | 2 | New Dram ($9/mo) | - |
| Data center and energy siting watch | 3 | Data Center Hearing Watch ($19/mo) | Data Center Census |
3. Founding and launch offers on the table this week
- TrialWave (clinical sites): first 10 sites get the $249 Site plan for $149/mo, locked for life.
- AuthorityAlerts (trucking): a founding-member discount for the first 25 accounts, per its pricing page.
- PermitDrop (permits): founder pricing at $99/mo per county while onboarding its first 10 contractors.
- Storm Day Report (hail, Florida): $10 for the first month, then $35/mo.
4. Same data, very different prices
In trucking, every feed reads the same FMCSA register, yet a nationwide plan costs $49/mo at Carrier Hunt or TruckerDB and $599/mo at Rookiefeed (which adds insurer of record and same-morning CSVs). In hail, alerts run from free (SwathIQ) to $249/mo (HailStrike Ultimate). The difference is freshness, contact data and tooling, not the source, so test a sample from your own territory before paying more.
5. One thing to check before you buy any feed
Ask for 20 rows from your own territory and verify five against the public source (the FMCSA record, the city permit portal, the NWS storm report). If a vendor won't send a sample, skip it: 27 of the tools here offer a free sample, free tier or free trial.
Prices change. Confirm on each vendor's site. Lead Feed Index is run by Siringo Inc., which also operates FitOut Alerts NYC (labelled wherever it appears).
